Hi, I'm Keishia the founder of KTM Pets, professional pet sitter, dog walker, trainer, and lifelong animal advocate.
What began as a deep love for animals has grown into a mission to raise the standard of pet care across the board.
With years of hands-on experience and specialist training, I’ve built KTM Pets to offer more than just services: we provide care that is thoughtful, personalised, and rooted in trust.
My name is Keishia, and I’m the heart behind KTM Pets. Animals have always been woven into the fabric of my life. I was fortunate to grow up in a home that felt more like a small zoo than a household, surrounded by dogs, cats, reptiles, and even the occasional snail. My family believed in giving back, and our weekends were often spent walking shelter dogs and volunteering at rescue centres. It was a normal way of life for me.
GROWING UP IN A ZOO
Among all the animals I loved growing up, two in particular shaped my heart in lasting ways. Elmo and Honey were a beautiful duo. Honey belonged to my mum, and Elmo was mine. He was my heart: the one who connected with me in a way no other had. We were inseparable. Elmo came into my life during my teenage years and was the first dog who truly felt like mine. Losing him suddenly and far too soon was one of the deepest heartbreaks I have experienced. Yet his love continues to guide me. Through Elmo, I came to understand the depth of the bond between humans and animals, and how every pet deserves care that honours that connection.
That understanding became my purpose.
From Passion To Profession!
KTM Pets was officially established in June 2023, built from the ground up with a vision to offer compassionate, high-standard care to pets in their own homes. What began as a one-person venture driven by deep love for animals has grown into a respected, community-rooted service known for its personal touch and professional approach.
Through continuous learning, industry qualifications, and genuine word-of-mouth support, KTM Pets has evolved into a trusted name for pet owners seeking flexible, high-quality care they can rely on.
Running KTM Pets has been an incredibly rewarding journey. Every client welcomed, every pet cared for, and every bond formed has shaped the heart of this business. It’s a privilege to be invited into people’s homes and trusted with the animals they love most.
